DISTRO STANDARD ISSUE!
Wanna carry Standard Issue in your distro? At your record shop? Wanna find nine other friends as cheap as you and get a copy for only $1? This here's for you. Buy 10 copies of any issue for $10, or buy 20 copies of any issue for $20. Then sell it at whatever price you think is fair (which would be the lowest possible if you wanna be punk about it; and we hope you will). Just specify which issue you want. (And no, you can't order the 20-pack and say you want five copies of one issue, four of another, seven of one, etc...; it's gotta be ordered in solid blocks of 10 or 20.)

[Offer good in North America only for now. Europe soon.]

FRIDAY, JANUARY 13th, 2012

Holy shit.  If more punk and hardcore shows start looking like this HOAX show in Chicago a couple months back, a fresh crop of fear-mongering, anti-punk, lock-up-your-kids-and-have-awkward-talks-with-them, major network after-school specials whipping suburban parents into a frenzy can’t be too far behind.

PS: For anyone unfamiliar with HOAX who’s alarmed by what they can make out from the first song’s lyrics: no, they’re not homophobic.

BEST OF 2011

Without a doubt, if one band sticks with me from last year, it’s HOAX. If you haven’t heard them yet, find it. If you haven’t seen them yet, get on it. It seems hardcore’s gaining some steam going into 2011. At least that’s my perspective. If any one band has got me excited about this music again, it’s HOAX.
